How does he feel about school in general?  My DS has ADHD and was not really interested in most academic subjects. So he took easier classes in subjects that didnt hold his interest and harder classes in those that did. The result was a kid who wasn't stressed about school, didnt need to study much, didnt have mountains of homework, didnt need tutors,  and got more As and Bs.  You have to know your kid! Mine was kind of "lax-a-dazzical" in some areas so he took that into account when selecting classes.  It wasn't the end of the world to not take AP everything - he took 5 or so.

He's getting a second masters degree now and really enjoys the ability to hyperfocus on what matters to him academically.  He never would have gotten here if we had bogged him down with tough classes he didnt want, tutors, etc, when he was 15 or 16.  He wasn't ready for the rigor that some of his classmates thrived on and we didnt try to force that on him.
