For those of you opposed to shirtless people exercising on a hot day, what are your thoughts about girls showing up to school practically naked? I’m more offended by butt cheeks hanging out than an exposed torso.
I am the poster who said earlier that I don’t see why all kids can’t wear shirts (obviously not at pool, beach, backyard sprinkler etc)… I find both situations tacky (not offensive really). I don’t understand how we have convinced a large group of women that revealing most of their body = empowerment. I know people who believe this and they get offended when I say that it is not pleasant for anyone to see and it is also distracting for everyone in the class, especially young/teenage boys (which makes complete sense to me!). My friends son had a girl in his high school class who came to school in a very ripped/shredded shirt and no bra, so she was exposed frequently but since there’s no dress code at their school (not DMV), it was accepted. I don’t think that attire is appropriate for school. This will probably all come back to bite me when my girls are teens!
