Lake Braddock did not do it back then. They started after COVID and were so pleased. My 2023 grad loved it. The elementary kids love it too! It gives them something to look ahead to and sets some goals for themselves. And before someone gets all DCUM and says graduation is not a goal, it’s a given, I know plenty of kids who struggle to pass all the necessary classes and need a boost in attitude for the future. We had Lake Braddock kids at my WSHS kid's elementary school last year.  It was spots of purple and gold in a sea of blue and orange.

WSHS has done this for years, since my now college students and grads were in elementary school.  When they were little, they always hot excited when the "big kids" did their graduation parade.

The old principal would blare celebration music through the school PA system when the seniors matched, making the event even more special.  He also had the 6th graders do the same kind of parade through the halls when they finished their promotion ceremony.

I don't think they do music any more, but they still do the parade.[/quote]
