I think Par folks definitely monitor and even post on Reddit because Reddit's SEO is crazy high. It's often one of the top results in an Google search for any topic. DCUM is too niche. Very occasionally a celeb thread here goes viral and maybe that will get on PR radar and maybe they would even come post in that thread. But it's rare and if the thread is in a big controversy discussed elsewhere (like the Blake Lively/Baldoni thing, most royal family stuff, both of which get tons of discussion eksewhere) I just don't think DCUM ranks.

The only DCUM threads that I think might have grabbed PR attention the way Reddit does is that Hilaria thread uncovering her take accent/heritage. DCUM even got mentioned in the media coverage of that scandal I think.

DCUM often comes up #1 in google search, also, that's how so many people outside of the DMV find it and post.

Many companies, and I would assume celebrities as well, use "reputation monitoring" software that crawls the web (including Reddit and DCUM) to measure consumer sentiment for their brand. So while a celeb may not start off on DCUM website, they could end up here because of the reputation software.

Some of yall think that the world revolves around you. I doubt that people care that much about what D.C. Urban Moms and Dads have to add to the conversation. I could believe Reddit, but stop kidding yourself and look at the user interface. There are not enough people on this website to make look like more than it is: a 4chan for bored suburban parents. Which is a fair thing for a website to be, but it is not going to be huge in the number of people it reaches, because it is made for a very small amount of people in the grand scheme of things. There is a reason why I have met anyone young or old other than my mother that has heard of this damn website. Take a walk buddy, even Russian bots can't find it within themselves to give a f**k about this website, there is no dang way that celebs are astroturfing movements here.[/quote]
