My DS17 applied for a green card in 2021 and is somewhere in a 13 year queue. Every time he reenters the US, we go through immigration and then have to go through ‘second immigration’. Last time, second immigration took almost 2 hours. There was one immigration officer and about 100 people waiting. There was a bunch of officers just chatting in the corner. DS may be white and from a European country but that counts for nothing (nor should it). Please don’t assume that it’s straightforward for anybody to deal with USCIS. [/quote]
