It means the family will see a small payout and the local NAACP will use the rest for "legal fees" and "social justice." It bothers me that we don't know how much the family will receive. What's the overhead? [/quote]

I'm the PP and yeah I think this is it. It's using what happened for the family to raise money for their chapter but it doesn't seem like that distinction is completely clear.   I would like to know how much the family is actually going to get.   [/quote]
