Of course MAGA didn't want this.  Only Elon Musk wanted this.  Enough congresspeople got angry phone calls from constituents after reading about the firings in the paper that these people were begged to come back.  Some will, some won't.

This is how many firings by DOGE are being unfired, after a journalist or reporter covers it.  What about a government service that a reporter doesn't hear about? In 6 months or 2 years, when something bad happens and we wonder why no one was paying attention, we'll say, oh yeah, agency XYX used to do that but Elon Musk fired all of them in 2025.
