What's considered a small dose for maintenance?
I’d like to know too. Wonder if that is what people call “micro dosing”?
Anyone? What's considered a small dose? Or a maintenance dose?
For tirzepatide, the smallest "official" dose is 2.5mg. Lily Direct's trials are based on taking 2.5 for 4 weeks, then titrating up to 5mg for 4 weeks, and so forth up to 15mg. For many people, like me, the 2.5 dose is strong enough that we just stay on it. That's considered a small dose. Technically people will say the 2.5 dose is just the starter therapeutic dose and there are people who say they don't feel anything or start to lose weight until they are past the starter 4 weeks on that dose. But for people like me, 2.5 is more than enough. Microdosing is people who take even less, in the 1.xx range. Or people who take 2.5 less often than weekly, like the PP mentioned she does. I know someone who takes it once monthly. Microdosing is also when some people split their 2.5 dose into a smaller dose every 3-4 days instead of once weekly.
