Absolutely not true in our department. We give graded homework and are endlessly frustrated because many students don't do it, and a large portion of those who do cheat one way or another. Back in the day they used to copy the key or a friend's homework. Now they use apps or AI to do it for them. We're toying with the idea of not counting it as part of the grade at all (it can't be more than 10% anyway) because we're tired of parents who complain that "my child is turning in their homework so why are they doing so poorly on assessments."
