There are lots of paths. FWIW, my sibling that makes the most money didn't go to college. He's brilliant with computers but has dyslexia. Was working as a programmer while in HS, tried CC for a bit but decided he'd rather work. Has had a great career, now pretty high up at a company working on stuff I don't understand.
