Omg this is why people hate us - wtf "being American" mean? It's just good people. Lots of countries have good people - Americans aren't all good people and we don't always make things right.  We are messy, obnoxious, self righteous, lazy and a zillion other warts but so are also many other citizens around the world.  We are just normal people who are sometimes right or wrong. When you make statements about how we are special, you've basically just done what you are saying we don't have to do you idiot!!! MAGA is basically the sentiment you are expressing from a context perspective.

The entire issue we have as a country is not realizing that nobody has to be perfect, we don't have to lead the world or such, we just need to be able to take care of in house shit.  MAGA is a concept that expresses the anger of us being too full of ourselves.
