Not really. We were part of the almost non existent low middle class. Both my parents worked 45h a week (that's the minimum for FT) and I went to daycare when I was just 6 weeks old. I went to public school most of mylife so my mom could save money to stay at home when we became pre-teens and needed her closer. She never missed one game, school play or recital. She got bored at home and started selling Avon. It worked so well to the point we finally afforded to buy a car and pay for private school.

Every year we sat down to talk about our extra curricular activities (back home school is either morning or afternoon only so we're supposed to take sports, music or other tech classes on our own) and I asked if I could help the kids in the orphanage with homework. We always have our old toys to them so I was very familiar with that place. Me and me BFF started tutoring there and we stayed until I left the country. She still goes there once a week but she does mostly the on call stuff now.

My parents still live in the same little house where I grew up. Life is easier on them now with the kids all married and gone. [/quote]
