Affirmative action excesses pushed some white moderates into the evil camp. Block a man from getting hired or promoted, and you risk radicalizing him. Block a kid from getting into college, a you risk radicalizing his mother.
Please say more about that! “Block” in what way? Are you assuming that the man who didn’t get promoted or the kid who didn’t get into college some how earned or deserved it more than those who did? Let’s hear about the data and actual documented practices— instead of vague grievances and resentments.
Um, yes. Affirmative action gives less qualified candidates a leg up if they are members of favored ethnic groups. Which means that more qualified candidates can be blocked if they are members of a disfavored ethnic group. That’s what it is and how it works. But I see that YOU are a member of the most special group of all-the wokerati. The latest version is that we have to do the affirmative action AND pretend that we didn’t actually do it!
No it doesn't. No it freaking doesn't. STOP LYING.
Sure it does. Go look at the screening questionnaire for the air traffic controllers. You got more points if you played multiple high school sports. WTF? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14399413/FAA-air-traffic-control-hiring-process-quiz-DEI-targets.html
Are you under the impression that you learn nothing of value playing high school sports, let alone balancing multiple sports and still succeeding at school? You don't think that could in any way translate to making someone a better employee than someone who only went to school and did f#ckall with their time? I really don't know why I continue to waste my time. This country is lost because we are a stupid and selfish people who have empowered the stupidest and most selfish among us, and we're too stupid and selfish to see that they are destroying us. Frankly, we may deserve this.
Did you actually read the article? There used to be a AT-SAT that was extremely difficult - it prioritized numerical ability, decisiveness and complexity problem solving. You had to pass that test to become an ATC. But not enough minorities were passing. So they scrapped that test, and replaced it with a much shorter test - the AT-SA, plus the biographical assessment. The biographical score was worth 2.5 more than the cognitive test. You got 15 points if science was your weakest subject; only 2 points if you were a PILOT. An Air Force vet is quoted as saying "I fail to see what sports participation or any of this stuff (on the questionnaire) has to do with aviation." So tell me again how this is a good thing?
