Tesla in general sucks from a reliability standpoint, at least according to Consumer Reports. Tesla is #17 out of 22 car brands. The Model Y was a 1 out of 5 for noises/leaks and a 2 out of 5 for build quality. Irrespective of Elon, it was a bad idea to get a Tesla in the first place, especially based on their known build quality problems. Add to it Elon's drive to minimalize buttons/knobs and place the speedometer and other things on a center console which were bad safety ideas. It made sense at the beginning when there were few BEV options, but now, not so much. There are better cars out there now. [/quote]
