The Model Y didn't become one of the best selling cars because it sucks. It's a good car which worst feature is Elon Musk. But that makes finding a substitute difficult. You might consider the Chevy Equinox EV. You would give up power and storage space (no frunk), but you would get a better ride and it is cheaper. You can still charge on the Tesla Supercharger network. What might be the biggest downside for you is the location of the charge port which is on the driver's side front. But your charger cable is probably long enough to reach it. Another option is the latest Hyundai Ionic 5. The software is not near as good but the newest version comes with a NACS charging port and it charges faster and has longer range than the Tesla. A third option is the BMW i4. Its charging is not as good and the range is less, but it's a very nice car.
+1 We are staunch Democrats and have a Tesla. The last thing we want to do for our planet and personal finance is to get rid of our Tesla. Yes, our next car will not be another Tesla. But, how do I hurt Elon Musk if I sell my existing Tesla? This is so stupid.
