It's odd to feel such a high level of disappointment and also odd that you say you didn't have much to do with him for twenty years, but then he moves from his small town to your city? It seems like perhaps your perspective is the problem and it doesn't match up with reality.[/quote] Op here, sorry I just found my topic. To clarify, he was busy and I was busy for 20 years and we only did those brief family visits. When he got older o visited to make sure he is taken care of (to deep clean his house, do repairs, make sure he goes to the dr etc etc), what I call life maintenance. Now he is close and I am a bit tired of always having to talk to him. He is well maintained if I may, so I honestly don’t know what to do with him. He wants to talk every day but I am very very bored. [/quote]
