My recent DCRA experience was pretty smooth…it’s historic district nonsense that needs to be overhauled.

Same here. The DC311 app is awesome - stuff gets taken care of pretty quickly and I probably report something weekly. Bulk trash pickup from my house is an amazing service - they recently hauled away my broken water heater. DPW is great at fixing potholes, DOT with fixing issues with street lights. My experiences with DC DMV have all been super smooth. I'll report illegally parked cars and they are usually ticketed within hours.[/quote]
