I'm a reluctant Trump voter, not MAGA, but I did vote Trump this time. I do not support self-ID, trans women in women's spaces, or the way the left has swung too hard towards the extreme on trans issues. At the same time, I don't support what Nancy Mace is doing. It's possible to fight back against excesses without gleeful cruelty. Refraining from using words for a population that the group considers to be slurs on them isn't a lot to ask. Trans people are Americans too and they're entitled to liberty and the pursuit of happiness like all of us. A trans person should be able to go to work, pick up their kid from school, go grocery shopping, get medical care, get married, and live life without being afraid they'll be called names and shamed in the streets. That's not what this should be about.

Every social issue is a headache and heartache nowadays because both parties are extreme. Trump and Mace are going to take this backlash too far, but Dems aren't going to turn moderate either. Crappy choices all the time.[/quote]
