Some of them will take classroom based jobs. Just like folks from the MVA did. Maybe some will not, but it seems likely that most of them will go back to the schools rather than give up pensions  and benefits [/quote][/quote]

If they choose to leave for another school system, that’s on them. But it’s an unlikely choice for those already signed on with mcps. It’s just like when any other first year teacher is involuntarily transferred from their school. For example if a first year kindergarten teacher is last hired in the building, they typically don’t pitch a fit and leave the county all together because they are cut from their favorite elementary school in a good location teaching their favorite grade. They simply go and find a new job in a new school , maybe even teaching a new grade. It sucks for the teacher but it does happen[/quote]
