The school is providing recess, just not in the way you want it. My kids also get home at 4:30, which means school starts later and there’s plenty of time for morning outdoor fresh air w/ family. We also manage an evening walk w the dog and use a flashlight if it’s dark.

Stop asking school to do everything you aren’t doing as a parent. You should try toughening up and getting creative if you’re going to complain about school not doing the same. [/quote]

This is a great response! 👍 The PP is complaining about what the school "should" be doing, but he/she is not doing anything to better the situation for his/her kids (since he/she seems to think his/her kids must have fresh air AT SCHOOL for it to be considered recess).

I also think it's outright hilarious that he/she says the PP is a wimp, but he/she doesn't want kids out in the dark. Pot, meet kettle.[/quote]
