It's part and parcel of navigating life in a diverse elementary school. If you haven't heard about them, it's because you aren't talking with the parents of Black kids at your school or they don't feel comfortable sharing that information with you. Once you accept that racist incidents happen, the question is what tools schools use to address them and how well-equipped they are to do so. [/quote]
