I am the shortest in my family. I am now 30 and my height is 4'10. My younger brother is 5'5 and younger sister is 5'6. My mother is 5'3 and my father is 5'6. I guess I got my height from my grandmother on my mother's side. She used to always be 5'0 she was taller than me. Now over the years she has shrunk. She is now my height. In fact she is so worried about her height she gets checked out by the hospital having tests. When I go to see her I always wear flat shoes anyway. She is always the first to greet me and says jokingly let's see if we are still the same. Just by looking you can see we are. I think its great as we feel both at ease in each other's company. My grandfather used to be 5'2 and he also seems little shorter now. He said his trousers are now being taken up as they were scraping the floor. I had an aunt on my mums side who used to always make snide jokes about my height and get me to line up against her children. They were all girls and 2 were my height and 1 was 5'0. She used to call me short stuff. Until she realised 2 if her daughters were short like me. I tend to gravitate to the shorter people as I feel more comfortable chatting to them. I work in a school in primary I'm working with children aged 7 and 8 years. I have 2 children that have restricted growth and we accommodated them as much as possible. Like they have a stall for their feet as they go numb when they just dangle. They aren't related but they get along really well. Their coat hangers have been lowered to help them. The class are always helping them. We have to ensure they are safe at all times so are always at the front.. There are also other shorter children thay usually always come for a chat if they have a bad day. The school tries to make it fair on sports day the shorter pupils have races against each other. Yes I am the shortest teacher at school so nothing different there hey...
