Anyone know if there’s a different weight in age vs grade stanine scores for AAS? My DS has 9s in grade stanine and 8s in age. Also—verbal score was 40 points lower (!) than quant and nv, which isn’t reflective of what his teacher sees or class work. Anyone else have similar experience?
My oldest had a quant that was almost that much higher than her NV (verbal was closer to quant but not quite as high). In my kid's case the NV skills really weren't that great and math really was an area of strength, so I thought it was somewhat reflective. However the score was far enough apart that the test flagged it as a possible inconsistency. Back then, the documentation on the inconsistency (the "E" profile) said to watch for kids getting tired, sick, bored, or otherwise not doing their best work on the inconsistent section. But these days they seem to worry less about the E profile, so I wonder if it's more common? You can find more about each profile here: https://riversideinsights.com/citc/profile-finder
