Is the Emory newspaper a good enough source to stop the bickering? In the Early Decision I round, the University accepted 32% of applicants to the Class of 2028. Nearly two months later in the Early Decision II round, the Emory College of Arts and Sciences (ECAS) accepted 12% of applicants while Oxford College accepted 11% of applicants. https://www.emorywheel.com/article/2024/03/acceptance-rate-increases-to-14-5-for-class-of-2028-after-regular-decision
Actually, no. Does Emory double count one individual as two applicants if they apply both to Emory and to Emory/Oxford? Technically, they are two applicants because we are told Emory and Emory/Oxford are different. I guarantee you don't know the answer to that. Given that Emory lied about their admissions statistics before, skepticism may be warranted here. Just like Emory's program of accepting students for the first semester abroad in London (so it doesn't count in its Common Data Set admission numbers), Emory still knows how to play the marketing game.
