Rejected. Big 3 good grades, 34 act avg ec. Gearing up for ed2 to Vanderbilt.
Do you have a hook at Vandy? It’s a much tougher admit than Emory.
It is not clearly. It's all the same now
The acceptance rate at Vandy is half that of Emory for ED1. It’s very difficult. If it’s your kid’s dream, then go for it, but it is more common practice to move to slightly less selective schools for ED2.
The acceptance rate does not tell the whole story. Vandy, like NYU, and USC are throw away app schools. Kids apply just to say they applied. Emory is not that so the quality of applicant is likely higher.
Emory throwing shade at Vanderbilt? How moronic. Emory's ED admit rate is 40%, Vanderbilt's is 15%.
Why are you lying🤥? Emorys ED rate was 25% last year.
With Oxford, Emory's Early Decision admission rate is 40%.
This is a lie. https://www.emorywheel.com/article/2023/12/emory-admits-early-decision-i-applicants-into-class-of-2028 The 32% acceptance rate includes Oxford. Emory College ED1 last year was 26%. 705/2704. When you add ED2 Emory College ED drops to 20% and that was last year. Compare that to Vandys 15% acceptance rate for both ED1&ED2. They are essentially the same. Oxford is not Emory.
705 students were admitted to Emory. 364 were admitted to Emory/Oxford. 2,704 students applied. 1,069/2,704 39% acceptance rate. Oxford is Emory. From Emory itself, "PART OF EMORY: As one of Emory's nine schools..." https://oxford.emory.edu/life/about/index.html#:~:text=Part%20of%20Emory,founded%20by%20Methodists%20in%201836.
You cannot Read!!! "with 205 of those students being admitted to both campuses" You are double counting 205 students, IF you want to calculate the Emory and Oxford combined rate, which is not what the thread is about. 1069-205=864 864/2704=31.9% You're a dufus.
