These posts are kind of fun! We all just spout opinions without substantiating them based on a neighbor's kid and some guy we knew back in the 90s ... I like the category of opportunity school! I don't know enough about that group (not that that should stop me!) to say who belongs so I'll leave it as is. anyway, here's my edit of your list. *** A Tier Privates: Johns Hopkins - 1550 Georgetown - 1480 A Tier Publics: UVA - 1470 W&M - 1470 A- Tier Publics UMD College Park - 1450 Virginia Tech - 1360 B+ Tier Privates: Washington & Lee - 1480 University of Richmond - 1460 B+ Tier Publics: Delaware - 1280 USNA - 1380 B Tier Privates: George Washington - 1420 B- Tier Privates: American Howard C Tier Publics: JMU Opportunity Schools: GMU St. Mary's College CNU UMBC ODU Loyola U Maryland UMW Radford Longwood VCU Etc.

I think this is probably a lot closer to reality than the original post. I would dispute USNA being on any list because the pool of interested applicants is narrow and the selectivity is higher than the SAT score would indicate. It certainly has a much more national appeal than a lot of schools that show up higher on the list.
Agree with this and I have no military affiliation. The USNA is test required and has more clout nationally than any school on this list.
