PP who spends $700 here. I can't imagine just ordering pizza and Chinese ad nauseum. Doesn't anyone else crave Indian some nights? Or Ethiopian? Or pho? Or Greek/Mediterranean? Or, hell, just "new American" that you don't know how to emulate at home? I'd be so depressed if my meals were limited to the tacos/spaghetti/chili/casseroles/stirfry I know how to make. Eating at home seems so limiting and boring.
I guess it depends on if you can cook and if you enjoy cooking. We make everything from baked mac and cheese to curry to soups to homemade spring rolls. Having Celiacs and assorted food allergies really limits our ability to eat out too, as well as our budget. We can't afford to buy lunch and dinner out all the time. We eat out once, maybe twice, a month (if at all). We bring leftovers or sandwiches for lunch, and if in a pinch we'll pack a frozen meal rather then eating out. Its also less calories and less salt to cook at home.
