For me, I only know one person on the wl drugs.  I’m so happy for her. She has lost a ton of weight, is much healthier and happier. I know she struggled before. That being said, I can also understand this can be a trigger if you have a history of disordered eating or body insecurity. My husband recently went on a health kick and lost 20# (180 to 160)by cutting down on alohol, carbs, sugar and working out daily. He looks great, (maybe almost too thin but he’s happy with it). While I’m happy for him, I also needed to tell him to stop talking about calories, weight, dieting etc in front of me all the time. (Also this is a man who cut out junk I never eat and lost 20# in 6 weeks so every menopausal woman would like to punch him!). I recognize that being around people who are overtly dieting and talking about it triggers me—-like maybe I need to start skipping meals and counting every calorie and undereating etc like I used to. I’m a perfectly healthy weight now and have struggled to feel okay with myself and with eating like a “normal” person (which is still quite careful most of the time). But this is a “me” problem. I can ask my spouse to respect that I have issues, I’m not mad at people doing what they want for themselves.
