My understanding is that schools have an allocation for faculty advisors for various clubs/activities. Were they unable to recruit someone to fill this role? Are they using the funds for something else? It just seems like such a shame, not just for potential student actors but also for all of the stage crew kids who could be getting first-hand experience with a variety of trades.
