When I think about divorce and being single again, one thing I’m anxious about is new men seeing my c-section scar. It doesn’t look good at all, despite even having a scar revision.
DH here: While men are visual, this is something that literally zero men care about. It’s simply not an issue.
We need an ama man thread. Is an extra five pounds ok?
Lol that thread would be a train wreck. The answer to this question, though, is that most men have no issues with a small amount of extra weight. (There are some, though, who highly prioritize it, we used to tease one of my friends about his “strict height/weight” requirements for dating. In his defense, he held himself to a very strict standard on that issue as well, and again this was relatively unusual in my experience.) For most men, though, it kind of breaks down like this: a lot of it comes down to how the extra weight is distributed. Most men are attracted to a traditionally feminine kind of body shape, and so long as that shape is generally kind of preserved, there is way more margin for error than most women think on a few extra pounds. But attraction falls off of a cliff when someone is overweight to the point where there isn’t any of that kind of shape anymore. Apple-shaped and small-busted women have less margin for error than other body types. Does that make sense?
