Ariana looks like she belongs in a freak show.
Well, that fits as she is a horrible person.
I feel like this is like, I dunno. She cheated with that guy yes but like, does that make her a terrible person? Who the heck knows! We have these young stars who grow up in the public eye and get scrutinized within an inch of their life and have them basically grow up trained to do nothing that makes anyone unhappy. And terrible crap happens to them! Ariana was very close to mac miller and famously pretty traumatized by that death. There has been much written about the toxic nature of the nickelodeon filming culture (although she herself says she wasn't abused or anything but that is the type of thing where you might not realize the effect it is having on you). Justin Bieber did all kinds of messed up things that we all thought he was awful for and now it turns out he was horribly abused likely. Anyway I think these kids grow up with this like incredible level of pressure and scrutiny and when they get older they say screw it and do what they want. I think she got married to that guy during COVID and then COVID ended and that normal person could not handle her non COVID famous lifestyle. I also think she's a bit of a mimic/mirror and tends to reflect what's around her. When she was on nickelodeon she was SO nickelodeon, when she went hiphop/R&B she was SO hiphop/R&B. Now she is Glinda and she is SO glinda. I imagine this makes her a great actress/performer (and I think she is a great actress and is super funny) but probably makes her an unreliable relationship companion. People are complex, I think I am generally opposed to this idea that we can say a person is good or bad or terrible based on limited insight into failed relationships (see also John Mulaney). Are there obvious monsters (Harvey W?) yes of course. But there is a LOT of grey out there.
