We bought a house that desperately needed a new kitchen and deck. We sold a house where the kitchen needed updating. My take on it was that the new owners would want to redo the kitchen the way they want; DH thought we should upgrade it. Realtor agreed with me. BUT, I will say that both houses were in desirable locations. If the house is not in a good location, you want to update it to some degree, or price it really low. Some people just don't want to be bothered with a remodel when they buy a new house.[/quote]
