100% false at least in Virginia. If you switch HS after your 9th grade year, without a corresponding permanent change of address, there is a 365 day lockout on sports. It does not matter if you did not play sports at the first school. VHSL rules. [/quote]

Ok. Well in this case, if the son is adamant about playing basketball, I would just apply to a private in the PVAC league(or a school with a bad team), so he can play in the future. [/quote]
