I did. Mainly because of the vision of America I had. That vision is now dead and my eyes are wide open. America is not the beacon of democracy, freedom and righteousness that I thought it was but that's on me for being an idealist. It's just like all the other countries, neither here not there, but no definitely not exceptional.
You're wrong. It has nothing to do with America. It has to do with her not knowing how to run an effective campaign. Look at the facts - she has so much much and support! She couldn't win 1 out of 7 states that she should have had a chance in. JUST ONE she could not win. Really? The vision you have of America isn't wrong. But no country is ideal. It very much is still a beacon of democracy. I don't know that there ever was as much freedom and righteousness that you think - that just plain doesn't exist - but compared with many countries, it has more for sure. That should be enough. I'm not sure why people like you have to feel we have to have 1000% of that - it's simply unrealistic. But we have always had enough and I believe will continue because culturally, we're set up to. American culture is a melting pot of so many cultures and that's its strength and value. Even Trump deporting all immigrants out will not change the nature of the culture that is the US. I say this as a 2nd gen immigrant woman. The Dems messed up. Kamala was a horrible candidate. It's as simple as this. It's not rocket science or that much drama about it. Has not to do with how people voted - they aren't happy, they're angry and they brought what they think they needed to buy. It's as simple as they made a mistake but it doesn't mean we are now all going to sink. It just means that we will have to figure out how to curb the impact of this and it may take awhile..
