I know this is an old thread, but can someone share if sports are required in middle school, and if so, what are the options? Anything for a non-athletic/sporty kid?
Current middle school parent. MS has sports/activities from 2:15-3:30 every day and it is part of their school day. Fall and spring are all sports. Winter had options of MS musical (including tech), art intensive, and 1 or 2 other activities in addition to sports. The sports are all listed on the website but include soccer, field hockey, volleyball, football, tennis, basketball, wrestling, strength and conditioning, swimming, lacrosse, baseball/softball, track and field, cross country, hockey, golf… I think added fencing this winter too. They encourage kids to try new sports and have options for those less into it.
