DD is a junior and a teacher seems to have decided at the last minute not to grade a major project for the quarter that would have impacted her grade. There was no announcement. The teacher just didn't grade it for this quarter. Is this allowed? Is there anything to do at this point?
If the teacher has enough grades in the grade book for quarter 1, I don’t think you can do anything. Your dd could ask teacher nicely to please include project in quarter 2 grades. I’m assuming that is what the teacher plans on doing.
No there are not the required number of grades for Q1. Even with the major project they still don't have enough assignments as per the regulations. I'm sure she'll include in Q2 but that's not right. That's not what the students were told.
I think if a teacher doesn't feel like grading Q1 assignments and it makes the number of assignments go below what is required that's something to report. This is a very basic requirement for teachers and one that should be followed.
