If there was no business in the last 30 minutes, then it cuts down on operating expenses.  And we were told that once we chose to close and have started to clean, that we turn the closed sign around and do not reopen.  If I had been those girls, I would have come to the door and said through the door (not unlocking it), I'm sorry, but we've closed early.  Please come back tomorrow.  Yes, I understand some patrons may choose to "never come back again" because of the horrible customer service, but unfortunately, those were the policies and the enforcement was left to the individual employee.
