Often teen girls get picked up by family for a ride home in the evenings - so that means that the ride is also sitting waiting late too. Inconvenienced parents are not happy folks.
OP again, yep that was me. As I stated I worked retail and fast food as a teenager and my parents often waited or I called when i was done and waited for them. It's just the way it was and we all knew it.
And in all your years of retail and fast food you never started closing early when it was quiet? Never started putting things away or getting ready to close? I kind of doubt you worked retail/fast food or you would have had some measure of understanding for their situation. Many of the posters can see why they might have shut the door - you couldn't, hence I highly doubt you worked fast food. You would know how many obnoxious, demanding and entitled customers there are out there and you wouldn't act like one.
Well you are wrong. No we never closed and locked the doors early. Sure we started cleaning up but our managers never allowed us to lock the doors and refuse customers before the offical closing time. I also never worked at fast food or retail where there was not always a manager on site. Perhaps one of those girls was the manager, I dont know. Only one had a name tag on. I worked at Hardees (midwest) and Kmart (here in the DC metro area).
