So what am I missing here?[/quote] You're missing that the 2022 election has to be looked at in context; expected gains for Republicans were much higher than they got. Democrats lost a below average number of seats for the president's party, especially given the economic situation at the time, and they won independent voters which is pretty rare for the party in the White House. It's thought, I think probably correctly, that abortion drove a lot of that overperformance. None of which is the same as saying that all women are single issue abortion voters or that Democrats are never going to lose an election in which women turn out because of abortion; the effect is more subtle than that.[/quote] You are far too sane to be posting on DCUM[/quote]
