That’s not true. Millions of people don’t vote. Others vote without doing much research, or for single issues, or because their family has always supported a particular party.  Many Americans pretty much ignore national politics — as long as their own lives don’t change too much.  All of these types of voters — and non-voters — need to understand the implications of their decisions. If the Cheneys can publicly support Harris there’s always a chance that other Republican voters can be persuade to vote for Harris too — particularly in this one election. [/quote]
