Hmm, for a kid who loved UCLA, we are wondering about alternatives. Kid is not interested in, say, UMich or UVA. Might add UWashington to the list. High stats, unlimited budget. Any suggestions?[/quote]

Why do they not like UMich or UVA? What major? Do they love CA? Try UCSD and Stanford.

For my DC it came down to program being offered/value of program in their final decision. DC mainly considered these options when acceptances rolled in: Cornell, GA Tech, UT Austin, UCLA, and UMich. At UT Austin (Turing) and loves it. [/quote]
