Kindergarten does VALLSS for reading and VKRP for math. MAP testing starts in 1st grade for math and 3rd grade for reading.
Except… my new K student already has her scores.
For EMAS not MAP
Sweetheart, no. It says NWEA on the page.
What school?
An APS elementary school. Now I don’t want to say because I know teachers read on here and I already told her exact scores. But you’re wrong saying that APS doesn’t do NWEA Map testing for kinder.
Per APS email: NWEA Participants: NWEA MAP Growth for Reading for students in grades 3-10 and those in grade 11-12 enrolled in Structured Literacy and/or with reading goals in their Individualized Education Program (IEP). NWEA MAP Growth for Math for students in grades 1 - 8 and students in grade 9 who are enrolled in Algebra I Kindergarten doesn't do MAP tests.
AND YET, my K student has her NWEA score reports for both reading and math. Get a grip, loser.
