Yes, the school has a huge spreadsheet full of other people’s children’s sensitive data. Sometimes, if you or (for older students) your child has a good relationship with a teacher or principal, they’ll read you the score off the spreadsheet, as a favor. But they can’t just email the spreadsheet to the listserve. So to get your child’s individual score in writing, you have to wait for the printed score report. [/quote]

I believe OSSE prints the individual reports and then sends them to the schools, which need to stuff envelopes and mail them. Some schools pass them out at PT conferences.

I agree it’s absurdly inefficient. I believe part of the issue is that no one ever registers or enrolls with OSSE, so OSSE doesn’t have your address and therefore can’t mail you your child’s report. [/quote]
