As soon as I saw "religious" in OP's post I just laughed. The tendency to be susceptible to social trends is genetic too. The parents got caught up in religion the way their kids got caught up in gender trender stuff because they're all wired to let other people do their thinking for them. [/quote]

This also.^ It's trendy for parents in certain circles to push homosexuality on children right now, for the attention. Many kids aren't. Parents really should not get involved in a child's lovelife unless the child asks for advice, then stick to the facts and remain neutral.[/quote]
