You should reach out to the clubs and see about practicing with each of them before getting into spring tryouts.  We are at Vienna and see this regularly on the boys side.  Our coach wants people to ask for it.

It gives you a chance to see what you think of the coaches/kids and gives you a chance for a better team placement because they have seen your kid for awhile vs a mass tryout.  On the boys side - they had way more kids at the u-little tryouts this past year than spots on the team, so it really behooves you to get a solid look well in advance.

Also, sometimes spots open up for the spring season, so the sooner you try out, the better.

We’ve been happy at Vienna.  Through multiple years, we’ve only had one coach we didn’t care for and for you, the new talent they’ve brought in for U9/U10 seems good.  I can’t speak to girls but the families we play with that have sons and daughters at VYS don’t complain loudly about it at their sons’ games about it, so take that for what it is worth…[/quote]
