The OP's parents are not offering to watch the grandkids. Having them "watch the grandkids" sounds like several days worth of hassle. It's like these people who are "let's get coffee some day". If they wanted to watch the grandkids, they'd so something about it, not just sit and wait for others to make that happen for them. [/quote]
