NP here who also credits genetics. I'm a little over 5'9 and have to work to stay at 115 or above (end up getting dizzy around 113). I eat a decent amount of food and happen to not eat meat, but that has nothing to do with weight. I do have a sweet tooth. Haven't been to the gym in years, but I do try to walk with the kids each day. To the poster who asked about meals, here are some of my go-to foods: Bfast: Coffee, Orange juice and bowl of grape nuts with fruit and honey or 2 scrambled eggs on a deli flat w slice of cheese. Plain mini wheats is also an option, but I find i get hungry pretty quickly on just that. Lunch: veggie burger with tomato, cheese and avocado on deli flat. Or veggies (tomato, onion, cucumber, peppers) and hummus on a tortilla. Or cheese and black beans on a quesadilla. The occasional PB&J on wheat or grilled cheese. (I SAHM) Dinner: fish with broccoli and cous cous. Or veggie ziti. Or sauteed shrimp and veggies over pasta. Or spinach and mushroom quiche (I eat about 1/3 of the pie plate, DH eats 1/2 and I have a slice for bfast the next day). Black beans over brown rice with tomatoes, avocado and tobasco/cheese/sour cream. Vegetable pizza. Snacks: fruit and cheese, trail mix from trader joes (the one with the dried pineapple is excellent), minibagel with cream cheese, occasional kashi bar. At night, I always have dessert -- hunk of cake tonight, 4 oreos or mug of ice cream other nights. I don't each much of what the kids eat because it just doesn't appeal to me and because I don't eat meat and they do. I found that i dropped some weight when I came off of the pill and when I gave up diet soda. Beverages now are usually sparkling water and a glass of wine/beer at night.
