Your friend needs to reference that event when they make a formal complaint to the school. Usually they don't listen to parents for these things, and roommates have limited ability to complain before "something bad" happens, because they're all supposed to embrace meeting new people.

It's only fear of something similar happening on their campus that will motivate the administration to move things around.

This 37 year old might be entirely innocent of any desire to manipulate his roommates. But safety comes first.[/quote]
