Known to the coach but also known to the upperclassman and especially captains. Coaches lean heavily on their trusted varsity players to decide who to pick. The way to become known is to attend offseason workouts. Your son should talk to the coach to find out. Get to know the other players on the team. Unless your kid is an obvious standout, it's very hard to make enough of an impression just from a few days of tryouts.[/quote]
