My daughter got accepted to Maryvale. Is the program in K worth it? I heard they use a lot of computers and not much outside time. If you child is there. Do you like it?
Are you interested in your child learning French in public school? Our kid entered K in French via Zoom, so like all kids that year, they were “on computers” 100% of the time. Four years later they are testing at a B1 on the CEFR, which definitely would not have happened otherwise (and going from our experiences as American English speakers who started “foreign languages” later in school, but had no regular need to use them—probably ever.) It sounds like you may not be aware that there is no real opting into this later. If you do not have some other means of getting your child to the required proficiency to test in (after winning the lottery *again*!)—you’ll be out of luck. Good luck with the decision!
